What does the word/concept of SANKOFA mean?
Sankofa is an ancient word and concept from the Akan people of West Africa which teaches that in order to move forward, one must connect and reclaim his past. A powerful message for Daniel which actually formed the connection between his travel past and his desire to move forward, he founded The Sankofa Network, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia in 2006.
This connection strengthens daily through the support of friends, family and clients as he developed and branded, Sankofa Travel Concierge Services™ which combines the highest level of personalized travel service and expertise that have so often been lost in the traditional travel agency model. It is with great pride and a deep sense of gratitude that Daniel honors his journey of connection through Sankofa with all that he has the opportunity to serve as President of The Sankofa Travel Network, Inc.
